Located only a short drive to Etosha National Park, the lodges on the Epacha Reserve as a great base to explore this area, but there is so much more on offer!

The activities are one of the main reasons why a visitor of Namibia would choose to stay at a private reserve instead of inside a national park. On a private reserve under the supervision of a ranger it is perfectly possible to leave the 4×4 and continue on a guided walk to learn about, and get closer to, the fauna and flora of Namibia.  Inside a national park is also not possible to go on a safari night drive and this is one of the more exciting activities on offer at the Epacha Private Game Reserve, to see what lives in the bush after the sun has set. Next to all this find out what more you can do at the lodges and the private reserve right here.

Epacha Wildlife Reserve

Epacha Reserve drive

Let our guides take you into the bush with a 4×4 open game drive vehicle in the Epacha Private Game Reserve! Spot some of the 21 different types of antelope on the private game reserve. The Epacha Private Game Reserve is a 21.000 ha reserve with a large variety of wildlife, birdlife and flora!  A tour takes about 2 to 3 hours and is available as a morning or afternoon-sundown drive.

Night Drives

Etosha National Park Safari

Leave in the early morning and go out for a full day in Namibia’s biggest animal reserve, the Etosha National Park! Etosha is known for its many lions and very large elephants!  Our driver takes you in an open 4×4 game drive vehicle to the Etosha National Park, close to Epacha Lodge. On the drive drinks are supplied and lunch is served at one of the waterholes inside Etosha National Park.

Himba Orphanage Village

Combine your stay at Epacha with a visit to the Otjikandero Himba Orphanage Village in Kamanjab. The Himba people are probably the most traditional tribe you can find in southern Africa and they live in the north-western area of Namibia. The village is located only an hour’s drive and will give you a good impression of how this tribe survives in today’s world.

Clay-Pigeon Shooting

Go out to a special spot away from our Game Reserve and find out how good you are with a shut-gun! We supply the clays, the ammunition and the gun, all you have to bring is a fast reflex and a good eye! Clay Pigeon shooting is available any time of the day and can be booked at the reception.
